DAVID AND VICTORIA BECKHAM CELEBRATE 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY BY WEARING THEIR PURPLE OUTFITS FROM CEREMONY
David Beckham and Victoria Beckham are celebrating their wedding anniversary in a stylish and nostalgic way.
The beloved British couple tied the knot on July 4, 1999, at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland. In a joint post on Instagram on Wednesday, David, 49, and Victoria, 50, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by slipping back into the iconic purple Antonio Berardi reception looks that they wore on their big day.
"Look what we found… 😅💜," the former soccer star captioned the post.
It's hard to say whether or not it's the original outfits, but the bold purple looks appear exactly the same as what the two wore 25 years ago. In the new photo, the couple lounge on gold thrones atop a Persian rug. David looks affectionately at his wife and wears a purple suit with a dark purple flower detail and matching dark purple dress shoes. Victoria stuns in a purple body-hugging dress with purple and red floral accents on her one-shoulder sleeve. She styled her hair down and wore high heels that laced up her calves.
The Spice Girls alum reshared the post to her Instagram Story with the same caption, adding, "Kisses @davidbackham xx."
On their wedding day, Victoria's hair was cut short. Meanwhile, David rocked a lot less tattoos than he has today. But, he had far more highlights.
The couple shares four children: Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 12. Their eldest son wed Nicola Peltz in 2022, and served as the ring bearer on David and Victoria's wedding day when he was just four months old.
"He's my soulmate, and we really support each other," Victoria told ET of her husband in 2017.
"I'm so proud of him. He's such a good, kind person. He's the most fantastic dad, supporting husband as well," she gushed. "And we're partners."
David celebrated their wedding anniversary last year with an epic throwback photo.
"On this day 4.7.99 ❤️ 24 years and counting 👵🏼👴🏼 To the best wife, mummy & drinking partner ( most of the time 🤪 ) Happy Anniversary love u so much ❤️" he captioned the shot, which shows the young, fresh-faced couple cuddled up with a pair of puppies.
Victoria offered up her own sweet post with a trio of images, including one in which she tips back a glass of wine with her husband.
"Still holding hands and still laughing (with you not just at you😂) I love you so much @davidbeckham xx" she wrote.
The Beckhams are among a handful of celebrity couples who have tied the knot on the Fourth of July, including Julia Roberts and Danny Moder, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, and Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, to name a few.
