EMILY ATACK'S MUM SHARES SWEET NEW PHOTO OF GRANDSON AND SAYS SHE'S 'SMITTEN'

The mother of former Inbetweeners star Emily Atack has delighted her followers with an adorable new photo of her grandson, Barney.

The proud grandmother, Kate Robbins, took to Instagram to share the heartwarming black and white image where she gazes lovingly at little Barney, captioning it: "I'm a grandma for the first time! Smitten with our Barney, So happy for Emily and Alistair." Celeb pals and fans alike were quick to comment their congratulations under the post.

"Congratulations x," Leigh Francis, better known as Keith Lemon, chimed in. Chizzy Akudolo added: "Congrats GlamMa and massive congrats @emilyatack.", reports OK!. Quiz genius Mark Labbett from The Chase offered his best: "Fantastic, good wishes and health to all involved :) x."

TV favourite Ruth Langsford joined in, exclaiming: "Congratulations Grandma! ". Emily herself had revealed the joyous news of Barney's arrival on Thursday evening with a touching family photo featuring her boyfriend Alistair Garner and their son, captioned: "We have a beautiful son. Barney James Garner. All my dreams have come true".

Her own Instagram announcement was met with a flood of congratulatory messages and likes, including notes from celebrity friends. Lisa Snowdon expressed her excitement: "Oh darling Em! Yay! Congratulations to you both. Loads of love and welcome to the world little Barney,".

Fleur East, singer and X-Factor alum, also celebrated the news: "Awww welcome to the world Barney! Congratulations Emily,". "Gorgeous family! Proud of you x," gushed former Love Island host Laura Whitmore, as she joined the throng of celebs congratulating the couple.

The likes of Vicky Pattison, Peter Andre, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Walsh were also among the stars showering the couple with well-wishes.

The I'm A Celeb champ shared her pregnancy news back in December and has been openly sharing her path to motherhood. She revealed she was expecting a boy during a candid chat on Loose Women, where she discussed her symptoms and her feelings about becoming a mum.

"It's not a barrel of laughs is it?!" she confessed to the panel, acknowledging that the experience had been 'very very hard.' "It's so exciting, it's very, very hard but I feel extremely connected to my body in ways that I've never been before. I used to get told off by my friends for not looking after myself enough and staying up too late and all of that and now I'm like, 'No, my body is a vessel'. It's so important that I get an early night and I'm really looking after myself," she opened up during her appearance on the ITV programme.
