MADE IN CHELSEA STAR FRANCESCA NEWMAN-YOUNG MARRIES PARTNER 10 YEARS AFTER BRUTAL SHOW AXE

Francesca Newman-Young has got married to her long-term partner Peter Clarke, with the nuptials understood to be the first of two wedding ceremonies planned for the couple.

The content creator, 37 - best known for having been a cast member on Made in Chelsea - tied the knot with Peter at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London last week. The newlyweds were seen leaving the registry office together afterwards.

The bride was seen wearing a sleeved white gown for the special occasion, along with a lengthy veil and white heels. Francesca held a colourful bouquet of flowers in photos, as she posed beside her husband, who opted for a navy suit.

They were greeted on the steps of the building by loved ones. Guests are understood to have included Francesca's sister Olivia Newman-Young, who also previously appeared on the E4 show. The makeup artist's apparent attendance comes amid her working on Girls Aloud's ongoing tour.

Francesca has since teased that the wedding in the UK will be followed by a subsequent celebration in Majorca. She has suggested that her and Peter will be having a wedding on the island, located off the coast of Spain, shortly.

She teased their plans in a post on Instagram this week. Francesca took to the platform on Monday to discuss their nuptials, including sharing a video with fans. She expressed gratitude in it for the messages that she has received.

The writer said: "I just wanted to drop a note and say thank you for all your gorgeous messages. They mean the world, and I will try and respond to all of you." She added: "I just feel quite overwhelmed today - it's so crazy to have like the London part of the wedding and whole weekend together, and now it's like back to reality. And yeah, it just feels wild."

Francesca then further commented in the clip: "I'm so so excited to share [the photos from the wedding] with you. I promise you I will as soon as I can. It was just amazing and [the photographer] did such a gorgeous job taking photos."

She went on to share in a follow-up post that her dog, who was seen being held by the groom in photos outside the registry office, had been "the star of the show." She made the remark alongside a photo of her canine companion.

A subsequent post saw Francesca tease that there are more plans ahead, announcing that there will be a wedding abroad too. Alongside a selfie on the platform, she told fans: "...and there's still so much more to come with the wedding in Mallorca. Eek. I can't wait to share everything."

The nuptial's come almost a decade since Francesca made her debut on Made in Chelsea. She joined the reality TV show in 2013 and was a cast member until 2015. She's then understood to have briefly returned three years later.

During her initial stint as a cast member, Francesca worked on the spin-off Made in Chelsea: NYC, which was filmed in the US in 2014. The show saw the cast head to New York and she was joined by the likes of Francesca 'Cheska' Hull.

Francesca and Cheska are understood to have returned to the UK in the middle of the series, with it reported at the time that the pair had been sent home by producers. As reported by the Daily Mail, a source told the Sun: "The producers decided they were boring so they sent them packing." The source added: "The girls were furious."

However, despite the claims, a spokesperson for the show told the Daily Mail at the time that the pair were set to return for the eight series of Made in Chelsea later that year. They said: "We are looking forward to welcoming Fran and Cheska back to the show for series eight."

Francesca did return for the series, which was broadcast just weeks after Made in Chelsea: NYC concluded. She remained a cast member for the ninth series as well. Her most recent appearance was in the sixteenth series in 2018.
