Ekadashi April 2024: One of the most important and revered fasts in Hinduism honouring Lord Shri Hari Vishnu is the sacred Ekadashi vrat, often referred to as Grayas. The Hindu calendar observes the Ekadashi fast twice a month: once during the Krishna Paksha, or waning moon phase, and once during the Shukla Paksha, or waxing moon phase. The Vaishnavas fast from grains and tamasic foods on the very auspicious Ekadashi vrat, which they observe for spiritual advancement.

Papmochani Ekadashi 2024 Significance: The auspicious Papmochani Ekadashi falls between Holika Dahan and the arrival of Chaitra Navratri. Out of the 24 Ekadashis in a year, this one is considered to be the last one. Papmochani Ekadashi is observed on the eleventh day of the waning moon of the Chaitra month, according to the Hindu calendar. The name Papmochani is an amalgam of the words Pap and Mochani, the former of which means "sin" and the latter of which means "remover" of sin. On Papmochani Ekadashi, fasting is regarded as extremely auspicious, and those who observe it are pardoned for all their sins.

Kamada Ekadashi 2024 Significance: a. In accordance with the Hindu calendar, Kamada Ekadashi is observed on the eleventh day of the waxing phase of the moon, or the Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha, during the month of Chaitra. Since it is the first Ekadashi following the Hindu New Year, it is a significant day for Hindus. Since the phrase "Kamada" means "fulfilment of desires," it is believed that Kamada Ekadashi is a sacred fast that grants all material desires. The "Varaha Purana" is one of the Hindu scriptures and puranic texts that mentions the significance of Kamada Ekadashi. Additionally, King Yudhishthira was enlightened by Shri Krishna about the significance and advantages of Kamada Ekadashi during the Mahabharata. The vrat of Kamada Ekadashi is thought to assist one in regaining and enhancing their qualities.
