Viral Video: Kids and their Naamkaran ceremonies are cute and all, but have you ever attended a furry baby’s naming ceremony? A Pune-based skincare brand, Nari’yal Cosmetics, became the internet’s favourite after it held a wholesome Naamkaran ceremony for a tiny kitten. What further made the entire function beautiful was that the little one was a rescued cat. The brand evidently left no stone unturned in making the ceremony as ritualistically beautiful as possible. From whispering the names to showering the new member of the company with flower petals, the event took care of every little detail.
A video of the entire thing was also shared on social media, which went viral. Coming to the million dollar question- the cat’s name- well, as per the viral post, the cat was ultimately named COCAYA.
The video was shared on social media platform Instagram, by the handle ‘Nari'yal Cosmetics’. The post was captioned, “And we named her COCAYA! She’s a rescued baby. Two of our team members found her.”

The video, soon after getting shared, went viral and left admirers happy. Many thanked the brand for adopting a stray and welcoming it in such a gala and cute manner, while the rest loved the rituals that the employees held for the cat’s Naamkaran ceremony.
Taking to social media, people shared takes. “Isko itni achhi zindagi dene k liye thank you (Thanks for giving the kitten such a good life),” a user said. “Hehe the part where everyone hit the bua after whispering the name was cute,” added a second person. “And thanks for adopting an Indian breed,” added a third person.
