BILLIONAIRE DONS $10 MILLION NECKLACE FROM OWN COLLECTION TO MET GALA

Billionaire philanthropist Sudha Reddy hit the Met Gala red carpet wearing a $10 million diamond necklace.

Totaling over 180 carats, the stunning piece is adorned with four large, heart-shaped diamonds, including a 25-carat and three 20-carat hearts, seamlessly connected by 21 luminescent round diamonds.

Unlike most celebs that borrow their red carpet gems from luxury jewelry labels, Sudha's stunning piece is from her personal jewelry collection.

To carry out the theme "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" the Indian billionaire donned a custom ivory silk gown by esteemed Indian couturier Tarun Tahilian.

Sudha's custom gown was handcrafted by over 80 artisans over a period of 4500-man hours.

It features a hand-corseted bodice with a miniature self-portrait of Sudha holding a delicate rose, symbolizing the promise of hope and peace.

Surrounding the portrait are thousands of French knots, intricate Indian couching embroidery, and shimmering silk threads, along with hand-carved mother-of-pearl flowers.

The flowers symbolize luminosity and permanence, while the 3D butterflies symbolize the cycle of life.

Her gown and necklace serve as a metaphor for India's artistic revival, mirroring the country's current creative and cultural boom and showcase the beauty and depth of Indian craftsmanship and design.

Topping her stunning gown is a voluminous cape made of panels of embroidered tulle, decorated with a shoulder accessory by Miodrag Guberinić - known for  creating pieces for Lady Gaga and Madonna.

Boasting mother-of-pearl flowers and crystals, the piece adds a textural element to the look.

Like the rest of her look, she spared no detail with her hair, makeup and nails.

New-York based nail artist Fleury Rose took 100 hours to create a cascading white flowers and Swarovski crystals nail look.

Her fingers were decorated with several diamond rings, one matching her heart-shaped necklace.

A supporter of the Met Costume Institute and the museum's South Asian arts programming, Reddy brings a unique Indian flair to the red carpet.

For her sophomore appearance, she is proud to exemplify New India, a merging of the past and the present and of tradition and technology.
