I WILL ANNOUNCE MY MARRIAGE MYSELF: FIZA ALI

Fed up with netizens and media outlets speculating over when she will get married, model and television host Fiza Ali took a swipe at her naysayers by putting up a scathing Instagram reel to give them a hard, resounding virtual slap once and for all.

Boasting a bouncy blow-dry and clad in an all-white outfit, Fiza minced no words as she dived straight to the heart of the matter. 'You all are extremely concerned about when I will get married,' she began. 'I'm sure there are lots of you out there who have already prepared my jahez. You need to stop worrying about me and start worrying about the women in your own home. Go and worry about your sisters instead.'

Having split from her former husband, with whom she shares a daughter, Fiza is no stranger to rumours swirling around her personal affairs, particularly with regards to whether or not she will remarry. Previously, Fiza has gone on record to state that she will only marry someone who is ready to accept her daughter as part of the package.

Targeting her video message at those who are prone to being swayed by what they read online via third parties, Fiza added, 'When I want to get married, I will let you know and announce it myself.'

Not one to mince words to make a point, Fiza scathingly continued, 'There have been so many YouTubers and even channels who spread rumours about me and announce that I have supposedly had my mehndi, or my nikah, or my wedding. You think that is all I have left to do? Any time I travel anywhere be it London or the US, or even if I stay here in Pakistan, people instantly assume I'm there to get married, as if that is the only reason I would ever go anywhere.'

The model went on to complain that not only is her personal life subject to needless rumours, she can't even turn a blind eye to it, since she inevitably ends up getting tagged on social media when yet another so-called wedding announcement in her name pops up online.

'You think I won't get hurt by your comments?' she demanded, visibly angry. 'You all start tagging me day and night in photos speculating about my marriage - you think that's right? Please stop doing it.'

Whether or not the outspoken model succeeds in stemming the tide of marriage rumours remains to be seen.
