Ram Navami 2024: Significance Of This Festival 

Ram Navami is regarded as an auspicious occasion since it commemorates the birthdate of Lord Rama. Hindu sacred texts state that on the ninth day, or Navami, of the Hindu lunar calendar's Chaitra month, Lord Rama was born to King Dasharath and Queen Kaushalya in the Indian city of Ayodhya.

- On Ram Navami, some devotees fast as a sign of their sincerity and devotion. They fast during the day and break their fast after the evening puja. They also refrain from eating and drinking during the day.
